Back Stage Look of the AHFA’s with Anniss+Barton
April saw the 2016 AHFA’s take place in beautiful Sydney, at the historic BigTop on the harbour at the famous Luna Park.
The scene was set for an all out affair, with style, glamour and of course hair. Opening show with her powerhouse vocals, was singing dynamo Bonnie Anderson.
Followed by the Zhivago runway show, featuring the fantastic designs and styles by the L’Oreal Professional Artists’, headed by the Mr Damien Rinaldo, AHFA winner, owner of salon, ‘Boris the Cutter’ and “all round cool guy”.
With a team of some of Australia’s top hair stylists, Damien and his creatives made a beautiful collection featuring sleek ponytails, four different sectioning techniques and some intricate and beautiful hand woven tapestries, some of which were 18 months in the making.
What was most impressive, was Damien’s ethos of “leaving Ego’s at the door”, and working closely and openly with the team, meant that backstage, the usual hype and frantic race to the finish before a show wasn’t there. It was a quite and relatively relaxed, calm operation with everyone working moving like a well oiled machine. Most notably, the whole team was finished with the models ready to go 45 minutes before showtime.
